A Wii Sports Baseball Guide For Everyone
Wii sports baseball is one of the most popular, if not the most popular, Wii games out there. The one thing that holds people back from Wii sports baseball is how hard it can be to learn, especially if you do not know the rules to baseball. In side Wii sports baseball are two basic things you need to know how to do hit and pitch. Currently this game is not a Wii sports online game, but look for that too change.
Pitching In Wii Sports Baseball
The basic pitching motion in Wii sports baseball is the same that you would use to throw a normal ball. You have to be careful though as any quick movement will cause the computer to throw the ball. Also, your pitchers health and stats will play a part in how well they throw. There are many different kinds of pitches to choose from.
The first is the fastball. Simply take the wiimote and move forward quickly without pushing any buttons. This will give you the fastest pitch possible. Next is the change up. To throw a change up simply move the controller forward gently. This pitch will look like a fastball initially, but will go really slow. It is supposed to confuse the hitter and catch them off guard. For pitches that move, you will need to depress the button. For a screwball push and hold A. This will cause the ball to screw off to the right. For a curveball, push B. This will cause the pitch to move to the left. To throw a splitter hold down A and B. The ball will go slow, but then drop at the last moment. Two things make this pitch bad; one is that if the batter does not swing it is almost always a ball. Two is that your pitcher can screw it up, and when he does and exclamation will appear over his head and he will throw a nice fat meatball.
Hitting In Wii Sports Baseball
For best results you should stand exactly like you would if you were going to really hit. After that, hitting works just like it would in real life. You will have a split second to decide if you and hit the pitch or not, then swing quickly with the wiimote to get contact. Based on how fast you swing, where you hit the ball, and all that the Wii will determine what happens. You can also bunt by simply holding the controller out in front of you.
